Geocache Description:

Vladl kdysi mestu Athenam velice popudily kral jmenem Aigeus.
Take princezna Ariadna.
Jakmile soumrak padl na ostrov a odsouzenci uzuz meli byt zahnani do labyrintu ke krvilacnemu Minotaurovi, Ariadna utekla z rodneho palace a prinesla Theseovi dve dulezite veci: mec, aby jim mohl obludu zabit, a taky klunko niti, aby pak v chodbach labyrintu nezabloudil a nasel cestu zpatky.
A vzali s sebou take princeznu Ariadnu a vsichni byli zachraneni…

(Hana Doskocilova – Diogenes v sudu a dalsich dvacet znamych pribehu z doby davne a nejdavnejsi)

Dnesna doba nam poskytuje modernejsie ponatie Ariadninej nite, a to GPS :) Ta Vas privedie do bludista v zahrade Trojskeho zamku, kde porazite Minotaura a vyrvete mu zo sparov jeho poklad.
Ulozte si tracklog (Ariadninu nit), nahrajte ho do pocitaca a uploadnite ho (vo forme .jpg obrazku) s Vasim logom na stranku tejto cache.

Listopad-Brezen: len v sobotu a nedelu 10-17 hod.
Duben-Rijen: Utery-Nedele 10-18 hod.

In Greek mythology Theseus was the son of the Greek king Aegeus. King Minos of Crete defeated Aegeus and threatened to destroy his country. Only if Aegeus sacrificed seven young Athenian men and women every nine years to the Minotaur would his kingdom be spared. Theseus felt it was time to put an end to the sacrifice. When the moment came for another 14 people to enter the Labyrinth in which the Minotaur lived, Theseus offered to go as one of the sacrifices. During the journey Theseus met King Minos’s daughter Ariadne, who promptly fell in love with him.
Ariadne was willing to help Theseus find his way out of the Labyrinth. In exchange Theseus promised to marry her and take her back to Athens. Ariadne gave him a ball of thread and told him to secure one end at the entrance to the Labyrinth. He could then unravel the ball as he made his way. By following the thread Theseus would be able to find the way back to the entrance.
Theseus slowly made his way through the Labyrinth, unravelling the ball as he went. He encountered the Minotaur, and after a struggle slew the beast. Together with the others he followed the thread back to the entrance and out of the Labyrinth.

The present times offers the modern conception of the Ariadne´s thread – GPS :) Your GPS will take you into the labyrinth in the Troja Chateau garden, where you will beat down the Minotaur beast and will get his treasure. In memory of ancient Ariadne walk down through the labyrinth and the garden (it is really interesting spot) while yout GPS will be still on. Save your tracklog (an Ariadne thread) and upload it then with your log for this cache. You can be creative and draw the picture while walking or just to map your walks through the labyrinth and garden. The activity when you use the GPS for the drawing is called GPS drawing, you will find out more about it at this web page .

If you do not have the technical abilities to save your tracklog and upload it with your log or you just do not want to do it, there is no problem, you can log your find anyway, the GPS drawing part is a volunteer activity.

Here you will find out more about the Troja Chateau.

The cache locality is open:

November-March 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday
April – October 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday

Have fun while searching the cache and during the GPS drawing – and be aware of Minotaur :)
