Good parking, easy 1.1 mile round trip on Cabin John Trail, then down a side path.
This cache is located off the Cabin John Trail (map available at (visit link) The cache is a small lock-and-lock just big enough for a log and small pencil. I have left the old, quart-sized cache with it to hold larger items, but it may leak a bit. This is in a new location not far from the original location.
Cabin John is, according to one story, named after a cabin where a hermit named John lived. (visit link) There's no cabin at the cache site, but there is a log cabin at the trailhead on Bradley Boulevard, near the plentiful parking at 039 00.581 N, 077 10.044 W.
