St. Mark's Greenbelt Walking Trail is an open space preservation endeavor between the City of Seattle and the people of St. Mark's Cathedral. The trailhead can be found on the south side of the St. Mark's parking lot at N 47 37.887, W 122 19.304. The trail makes a clockwise loop down into the ravine and back up to the southwest corner of the parking lot.
Although you will find this trail in the shadow of a church, I would not advise walking it in your Sunday best; in fact, hiking boots are recommended. The trail is steep and the wooden bridges will be slippery during rainy seasons. Fair warning: rain or shine, your shoes and pants might get muddy when you make the final grab.
