The Kingdom
of Nye.
Nye County,
Nevada.
Home of Pahrump, the
Extraterrestrial Highway, and part of Area 51.
This cache is
located within the boundaries of Nye County and is placed in honor
of the man that made late-night talk radio popular, Mr. Art
Bell. I travel to Arizona frequently and the Coast to Coast
program and Art Bell has kept me company and kept me awake until
the wee hours of the morning many times. Actually when I am
not traveling, he STILL keeps me up until the wee hours of the
morning. Art is semi-retired now, only doing shows on the
weekends, but the program is still hugely popular thanks to the
foundation he built.
My favorite time to
travel this road is late at night, listening to Coast to Coast, and
doing night caching. There is something different about these
parts. I don't know for sure what it is, but when I cross the
Nye County line, it just "feels" different. Like anything
could happen and it would be no surprise. Please include in
your posts anything weird that you have seen out
here. And so...
