Please join us as early as 6:30 am EDT
on the south steps of the Statehouse for a geocachers meet
and greet prior to the start of the 30th running of the
largest half marathon in the world. Runners participating in
the mini are asked to start moving into the corrals as early
as 7am so we should have this wrapped up between 7 and
7:15am. Hopefully there will be many geocachers from
out of town to meet and will partake in pre-race preparations
such as stretching, hydrating and waiting in line for the
port-a-johns. Pop-tarts will be available for any poor
soul mad enough to eat one before the run. Those not
running in one of the events are welcome to attend, but
please be warned that downtown will be a complete zoo on this
morning. You must sign the logbook to claim as a
find.
As a FTF (first to finish) prize, the person
who signs the event log and is the first attendee to finish the
13.1 mile course will receive a PDXMarathonman Geocoin! To be
eligible for the geocoin, please post your finish photo with your
"attended" log. Finish photos will be available from
www.brightroom.com

If you are attending from out of town, please
note that the
Indiana 2006 Spring Picnic is being held today! Please
consider stopping by on your way back home after the race. It
should not be too difficult to make this a 20 mile
day!
