Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches placed on Kinnaber Links, just north of Montrose, using a criss cross of paths

The compound in the middle of the links was originally a peripheral building for the nearby airfield during WW2. In more recent times it became a satellite communications post, used by the US military based at RAF Edzell. It was used until the US left Edzell in the mid 1990's.

You can see where the communication masts were protected by fences. Dont know why some of it is still there though?

The route round these caches is not considered to be buggy friendly due to stiles etc but would be possible with a strong buggy and a child who doesnt mind bumps!

All these caches are in popular dog walking areas so beware of muggles!
