Geocache Description:

UPDATED COORDINATES FOR 12:00 EVENT CACHE HANDOUTS AND POTLUCK: N 42, 31.380 W 082, 57.212

Hi,
I'm Bobbie Wilson from the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department and WilsonExplorers3. You're invited to help continue the success of Geocaching in our community.

We along with many other teams (Team CoyChev, Rattrak, Brummelbear,TeamLegend4) just to name a few, have placed many permanent caches for you to find.

Numerous stories about geocaching, with information about last year’s event have been published in local papers and on the local cable channel -- we expect the same media attention for the event this year due to all the excitement in the area about our sport.

Funding for this geocaching program provided by the "Healthier Macomb Fitness Council".

Highlights of our program:

1. Picnic, fun and Geocaching!!!

2. GPS units will be available for loan.

3. Local cachers will be available to provide support to newbie cachers.

This is a RAIN or SHINE event!

Where: Roseville's Dooley Park (see coordinates)

When: Saturday, July 29th 12:00 pm to 3:00pm or later!!!

* 12:00pm: Registration and distribution of coordinates to existing caches in the City, plus a few surprise caches!!!

* 12:00pm or after you register: Geocache hunt; we'd like seasoned cachers to be "mentors" for the new cachers who will attend. Meet a "newbie" and take them along to search for the newly placed and local existing caches. Coordinates available at the event.

This is our chance to show just how great members are!

* 2:00pm: A potluck lunch!

There is no electricity at this site; we'll provide hot dogs, buns, beverages and chips.

* There are hundreds of other caches to find in southeastern Michigan before or after attending this event.

* Restroom facilities and Children’s Playground at the site.

What to Bring:

1. Chairs.

2. Dish to pass.

3. Something for the prize table if you wish.

4. $10 if you wish to purchase the Roseville Geocache Picnic Event geocoin! (Sample of coin to be displayed soon!!) only 1 coin per household - only a limited quantity available.

When posting your "Will Attend", please include the number of people in your group that will be attending. If you are an experienced cacher and would like to give assistance to a "newbie" please note that in your "Will Attend" log.

UPDATE - ANY NEW CACHERS THERE WILL BE A GEOCACHING 101 CLASS HELD AT THE ROSEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION CENTER ON SYCAMORE ST. IN ROSEVILLE BEGINING AT 10:00. COORDINATES ARE:
