Bass Island Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

el-toro: I'm moving out-of-state and won't be able to maintain this cache. Nice park area if someone else wants to drop one here. Thanks for all the logs.

Geocache Description:

This is at Bass Island a nice trail used as a canoe launch, bank fishing, or bike trail access.

This cache is a clear rubbermaid container painted black. It is hidden just off the trail leading to Bass Island. The cache is about 40 yards off (if you enter at the right spot) the trail and requires no bushwacking. Recently reopened, the Little Miami is very shallow in the warmer months making this a good canoe launch, fishing area. Many people use it also to let their dogs swim and play in the water since it is shallow and the current isn't really strong. It is also a great area to access the bike trail that will soon run for miles in both directions. You can also follow the bike trail and take about a mile long hike to the Avoca cache (GCP0VH). Items are for all family members. Cache originally includes:
Log and pen/pencil, superball, two small flashlights, funky keychain, silly putty, a pedometer, some disney pens, some mickey mouse candle holders, and even a dog collar for Fido. If the cache holds up well and is not muggled, it will be stocked with items of higher value.
