Are you tired of doing those quick and easy caches, Do you need some adventure and a challenge? Do you need to test your caching skills? Do you love a good hike? Well take on the Temple Ridge Challenge. The cache is located on the Appalachian Trail on Temple Hill. When you get to the parking area look across the Nolichucky River and up the hill! Thats where you will be going. Your looking for an ammo box with some trade items and a log. Enjoy the hunt.
You will be hiking on the AT. It is well marked with White Blazes.
The trail is pretty good, though there are a few blown down trees in a few places. You'll just have to step or climb over them for now, unless you bring a pruning saw with you.
There's a place to park near the White Memorial near the bridge.

Just 10ft or so off the trail no need to bushwack
I made it up here just as it was turning dark. Took me 1.5hrs. You will want to come prepared, the weather up here changes rapidly. Rain, wind and lightning are not uncommon. In the summer months start early in the morning and bring water.
