Geocache Description:

What's happening to all the quality filled traditional caches ?

This sport has changed alot since I first began caching. My area has become crammed full of puzzle caches and micros. While I do enjoy these kinds of caches I am beginning to miss the traditionals.

There's not much that's better than a walk in the woods and finding an ammo can full of great trading items. Traditionals are the best type of cache to introduce new people to the game. It appeals to cachers of all ages, especially the young ones. There's no brain cramps from tough puzzles, no searching for a film canister in a rock pile. Just a nice walk to an interesting spot with a treasure hunt at the end.

I placed this traditional in my favorite local forest. There was a fire in these woods. The walk to the cache is peaceful and allows you to take in the surrounding area. At the end you will be looking for an ammo can filled with quality trading items. Slight bushwhacking is required. Parking is at the end of Buckingham Drive.

I titled this cache Return To Tradition #1 in hopes of encouraging others to place more quality traditional caches. I think it would be terrific if we could all band together and place some really great caches. If you'd like to join the effort, place a swag filled traditional cache, and title it Return To Tradition #xx

Happy Caching !
