Geocache Description:

A fun micro to introduce you to BD’s old neighborhood. No need to leave the sidewalk.

This micro was placed to thank our daughter for introducing us to the sport of geocaching. When she was small, our pet nickname for her was BD (for Baby Daughter). BD just loved Asian food. At that time, the major street just to the north of the cache turned into a two lane road headed out the fields toward Alief. If we wanted Asian food, we had to go all the way to Westheimer. Now that little two lane road is 6 lanes and has street markers in both English and Chinese and is the hub of the Houston Asian community. As the M of MAES is fond of saying, the only thing constant is change. All this means you are in luck as this can be a true lunchtime cache. There are so many restaurants (two blocks north and then west continuously for almost a mile) thus within an easy walk (for cachers) that if you visited the cache often and ate at a new place every time, you would fill the log before you ran out of new ones to try. The cache has a sort of unique style in its log and a couple of surprises in the lid if you examine it carefully. Be sure to bring your own writing instrument and be careful about muggles. We hope it is fun for you. PS….BD has branched out in the culinary world since becoming a member of Team Tulip (picture attached) and now likes other styles as well. Congratulations to GrangerFam for the FTF! Sorry, I didn't hide three, so you could make a Buzzard.
