After a hard day of caching in Kailua town, we decided to go for a walk on Kailua Beach to wind down. It was just another typical Hawaiian day—warm and sunny, with light tradewinds—and the warm sand felt good between our toes (eat your hearts out, mainlanders). Suddenly a beer bottle washed up just in front of us. We saw that it was a Victoria Bitter bottle, with a cork in it. And there was a note inside! Being of the nosy persuasion, we pulled out the cork and removed the note. It must have been in code, because we couldn’t make it out. We rushed home and tried every tool we had—Radio Orphan Annie’s Secret Society handbook, Captain Midnight Code-O-Graph, Red Ryder & Tom Mix decoders, and even our Kix Secret Agent Decoder Ring. All to no avail—it still didn’t make sense. Can you help us out? Maybe it will lead you to a cache…
