Geocache Description:

This was the third business Charles Parsons conducted in Gosford and the second in Mann Street.

His initial garage had utilised a shed next to his Watt Street livery stables in 1919, a period when people could see that the motor vehicle would replace horses as a means of transport.

About 1936 Parsons sold the business here but leased back the Faunce Street workshops at the rear of the building. The front section was conducted by Victor G Holcombe until 1939 when Wilfred (Fred) and Evelyn Booth purchased it. They and their family built up Booth’s Service Station which today is the family dealership Booth’s Motor Group.

Unfortunately the garage has been knocked down to add a commuter carpark.

Wheelchair accessible but a small about of help may be required at GZ.

BYO writing implement.
