Geocache Description:

Easy to get to, difficulty is about avoiding muggles.

This structure was built in 1853 by Eli and Lemuel Chenoweth. It is an excellent example of a modified Burr Truss. It was saved from destruction during Jones’ Raid of April 29, 1863, by the Ice family. They owned a nearby mill and were also Southern sympathizers.

The cache container is 8” x 5” x 2.5” and the original contents include:
Pliers
Tape measure
Soccer game
Matchbox car
Hand warmers
Carabiner
Star Wars keychain
Log book, pencil, and pencil sharpener

Please replace the cache and anything around it EXACTLY as you found it. There are times throughout the year when this is the site of various community activities. Replacing the cache as you found it will help keep it out of the view of muggles.

Stealth will be required due to houses that have line of site to the cache location and parking areas. If you have a camera, bring it with you and take a few pictures. It will help make the locals ignore you.

If you find the item in the photo titled “Burr Truss Marker”, write down the info missing from the photo. Now you can log a find of a different kind!
