Please bring your own pen or pencil to sign the log. Parking can be made along the street near these coordinates: N 41 14.375 W 096 11.130 The cache site is available between the hours of 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Please observe these hours when seeking this cache. This cache makes for a nice park and grab or you can take your time and enjoy the area. It's worth a look around! Enjoy!
Welcome to Lakeside Park! This area comes complete with walking trails, playground equipment (to the North) and, of course, a beautiful lake. Lakeside is home to many ducks and geese and the lake is stocked with many varieties of fish. Leashed dogs are welcome so please bring your four footed friends for a leisurely stroll around the lake. Fishing is permitted from the pier area only. We brought our kids here last spring and hauled in the fish just as fast as the bait could touch the water. Bring the kids and a loaf of bread and feed the geese and ducks...they LOVE it! (Just watch out for the many goose and duck "reminders" that get left "behind"...heheh!
Depending on the weather and time of day there may be many muggles about, so please be discrete when retrieving and replacing this cache.
Rules of the Park:
1)The lake and trails systems shall be closed to the public from 11:00 PM until 6:00 AM.
2)No swimming, diving, wading or boating shall be allowed in the lake; fishing is allowed from the pier only.
3)Pedestrians have the right of way. No horses, skateboards, or motorized vehicles of any kind. Wheelchairs, bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, baby carriages and strollers shall be allowed on the trails systems.
4)Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Pet waste must be picked up immediately by the owner.
5)Discharging of firearms and fireworks and the carrying of firearms is prohibited.
6)No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances are allowed.
