Rocca di Carmignano
La Rocca che sovrasta l'abitato, sorta come castello nel X-XI secolo, dopo la conquista pratese e fiorentina (XII-XII secolo) divenne roccaforte di primaria importanza.
Subì il dominio dei pistoiesi e poi dei fiorentini ai quali passò definitivamente dal XIV secolo, dopo la temporanea capitolazione quando venne espugnata da Castruccio Castracani, ex capitano di ventura e signore di Lucca.
Dalla Rocca si gode uno spettacolare panorama su Pistoia, Prato, Firenze

The Castle of Carmignano
After the conquest of Prato and Florence in the eleventh-twelfth century, the fortification that dominates the town, which was built in the tenth-eleventh century as a castle, became a very important stronghold.
The castle suffered the rule of Pistoia and then of Florence to which became a definite possession in the fourteenth century, after the temporary capitulation when Florence was conquered from the ex-soldier of fortune and Lord of Lucca Castruccio Castracani.
From the Castle you can see a terrific panorama of Florence, Prato, Pistoia.the interior is visitable on saturday , sunday and holiday, in the afternoon.
