Oh Deer! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Birdman-of-liskatraz: I'm archiving this cache due to " Defra and Forestry Commission Officers have identified Phytophthora ramorum and kernoviae infected Rhododendron in the woodlands. These species of Phytophthora are a fungi/mould like pathogen which can cross over to trees and eventually kill them".

I'll collect it and the coins as soon as it's safe to do so. Apologies to the coin owners.

Geocache Description:

This cache is -IN- an overgrown granite quarry. Care should be taken as there are steep drops, large amounts of water, it's overgrown and not terribly stable underfoot.

This is a small Lock and Lock type cache containing a logbook and a FTF £1 as well as a pen.

Care should be taken as the ground isn't always firm and theres plenty of holes for feet to disapear down. Not suitable for night time hunting and probably not a good spot for dogs or small children.

I saw five Roe Deer (Though it may have been one going around in circles!?) whilst setting the cache - so keep your eye open for a real life Bambi.

GPS readings aren't brilliant under the tree cover, but were surprisingly good near the cache itself.

I'd recommend boots as the path to the cache is wet - in fact it's pretty much a river.

Park at the recommended coordinates, walk up the hill and turn left through the gate and it's follow the arrow time to the cache.
