Near a layby at the northern end of the St James Walkway - off State Highway 7 near the Summit of the Lewis Pass.
This cache is less than a 2 minute walk from the well defined car-park, along a well formed track.
It gives great views of the tarns - an ideal opportunity for photos, and a leg stretch. Toilet also nearby.
The scenery changes with the weather. It should still be accessible even when snow is on the ground in the area.
The cache is a 400 ml camo painted Sistema container.
**BYO own pen :) **
When first set it contained:
2 marbles
F23 Fighter plane
2c coin (NZ)
Log book & pencil.
CAUTION:
Board walk to area can be slippery when covered in snow/ice.
