Geocache Description:

3 stage multicache. First 2 stages are micros with coordinates to next stage. Final stage is an ammo box with log, swag and travel bugs.

This is a regular cache located on the grounds of the Panther Bluff Duck Club. The cache hider is also one of the land owners. The 1st two stages are micros with coordinates to next stage, and will require driving between stages. Micros are inconspicuous but located in plain sight. Driving will be mostly on pavement, with gravel on the final two stages. You can park on the side of the road. The final stage will require some bushwhacking, but should be relatively simple.

The Panther Bluff Duck Club is located in the South Delta area of Mississippi. Nearby attractions include the Delta National Forest and the Lake George Wildlife Management Area. The surrounding area is rich in tradition and history, including the origin of the "teddy bear" as well as several film sites for the movie "O Brother Where art Thou". While travelling from stage to stage, you will pass through the areas that gave Panther Bluff its name and also pass by several Indian mounds.

Panther Bluff Duck Club is split by a levee. The wet side (west) is mature bottomland timber subject to flooding. During the winter and early spring these woods are home to owls, dove, deer, and wood ducks, and occasionally a few mallards. Beavers and alligators can also be found in some of the bar pits that hold water year round. The owners do hunt ducks in the winter, and a neighbor hunts deer on the wet side of the levee. The dry side of the levee (east) is home to rabbits, dove, and an occasional covey of quail. Locals can be seen hunting rabbits and running dogs on the dry side of the levee on sunny days during the winter season.

The final stage is located on the dry (east) side of the levee. Please do not venture into the woods on the west side of the levee, as water levels can vary from 0 inches to 10 feet depending on flood conditions, and the owners don't want cachers scaring the ducks. The cache container is a small ammo box with log, pen, and goodies for the finder. Initial contents include several travel bugs and a geocoin. Finders are asked to take only one TB or coin and leave the others for the next finders. This is my first hide, so I welcome all comments and suggestions on how I can make your hunt more enjoyable.
