A short walk through one of my favourite parts of Eastham Country Park. Many people do not realise this part of the park exists, and spend all their time nearer the fountains and the Bear pit... In my own opinon, this is still one of the nicest parts of the park, and usually reasonably quiet aside from dog walking muggles!
On a clear day Liverpool John Lennon Airport seems a mere stones throw away from this point... In fact - when Concord was in service, the press would congregate here on Grand National day to photograph concord fly down the river and land at John Lennon Airport - quite a spectacular sight! This particular cache is great for a good clear night when the runway lights will be blazing away and you can also see the Runcorn Bridge lit up from here too. The coordinates are not those at the top of the page... these coordinates take you to a concrete sign...
