A Church Too Far
In 1997 Forgotten and abandoned, Emmington Church had heard no
ringing of bells or services for many years. The doors were locked,
the windows barred. Yet it is said when fog descends, ghostly
figures can be seen drifting through the weed-strewn graveyard.
People did once encounter strange shapes in the fog here. Odd bulky
figures within the murk, they turned out to be escaped llamas from
the local farm.

This church is now privately owned. It has three bells, and
appears on a number of bell ringing websites it also seems to have
had a complete overhaul.

000° 55.700 - Please be considerate.
