Geocache Description:

This seems to be one of the windiest places around town. It could be the proximity to the lake. It could be the gentle southwestern slope. Or it might just be cursed. Either way, it’s a peaceful spot away from the crowds.
I consider myself somewhat of an expert on windy places. I grew up in Casper, Wyoming. I spent years and years riding my bike to school against a steady 30 mph headwind. It seemed like by the time we got out in the afternoon, it had switched around to the other way so it was a headwind going home, too.
In the winter, this wind would create snow drifts so tall in the backyard that we could climb up them and step onto the roof. What few trees there were in the area were permanently bent in the direction of the prevailing winds. One time, my brother was driving a box truck on the loop around town. The wind just pushed him over on his side. He said it all seemed like slow motion as the wheels came off the ground on one side and lay him over.
They say the suicide rate in places like that is higher than elsewhere because the incessant howling of the wind drives people crazy. You could hear it squeezing through cracks in the wall and it would even blow snow right down your chimney and into your living room. If your clothes dryer was vented to the outside, the wind would blow right up the hose and freeze your clothes if they weren’t dry.
The only other place that I have been that is worse was Minot, North Dakota. That is a whole other world…

The cache? No bushwacking but a little hike to get here. When you reach the posted coordinates, find the only tree around and look for the redirector. Add the number that you find in the micro to the NORTH coordinate ONLY. That is where you will find the final. Remember, you will be heading straight north to the final. I know no one will listen to me but I should note that you don't have to jump any fences to get the cache. But geocachers are such impatient folks.
