Located at the top of a very gentle hill, the Saddle and Pillion are the grave markers for Edmond Freeman,my 11th Great Grandfather, and his second wife Elizabeth. His first wife, Benett Hodsell, died in England on 12 Apr 1630. Edmond was one of the original settlers of the Town of Sandwich. This very historic site is still maintained by the town, although nearly unknown to any of the current residents. Only the true townies remember this spot, so go soak up a little history!
