Whenever I want to relax I grab my camera and head for this
place. There is so much of Mother Nature’s Beauty to see that just
a short walk will only make you want to come back for more. Early
morning and late evening provide some magic light for great shots
of the lake. Anytime during the day it is possible to see Ducks,
Geese, Osprey, Beavers, and possibly an Elk. There is a
Blue Blazed trail starting at the
parking lot that will take you on a nature filled excursion
around the entire lake. Some areas may be wet during certain
times of the year so good footwear is recommended. You only
have to look to see all the beauty Mother Nature has
provided. The area is generally accessible all year. Great
pictures can be made during any season in this area. Just let
your imagination guide you to that beauty no matter how
small.
This Cache is for you to relax and enjoy the day.
Don’t bring any trades. The Cache
is a small container, covered with camo tape, containing a
log book and pencil that should be easily found. I want you to enjoy the day, and the area, not anguish
over finding the container.
If you use your head you should be able to eyeball it easily.
Don’t go past any restricted signs and don’t break off anything
more than is already broken off. It is possible that Muggles may be
near so just enjoy the Lake until the coast is clear and then sign
the log. From the parking lot you should take the path between the
Handicapped signs to begin your journey.
Now comes the hard part.! Although not required, bring your
camera, and see what kind of beauty you can capture. Learn to use
your self timer and take a shot of yourself somewhere around the
lake. Perhaps we can all meet each other through the pictures we
post. Relax and enjoy the day.
Although it looks like a great place for Bass Bluegill and
crappie all that I have ever heard of anybody catching is catfish.
Go figure.
