This was one in a series of nine caches located in some of the higher parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The series is designed for those cachers who like a bit of a view with their caching!
Only a couple of this series now remain.
The caches in this series vary in difficulty & terrain from simple almost drive-by to encrypted directions and several kilometres hike. Eight of the caches also contain a clue, which you will need to find the ninth location.
Remember to take a pen and paper with you or a digital camera so you can record the clues. DON’T remove the clues from the cache please.
The caches can be visited in any order however the clues need to be in their specific order if you wish to have any chance of interpreting them (once decrypted!)
There are several directions you can approach this area from but they will all still require a walk uphill!
I parked at S34 42.068 E138 57.915 and took the direct route. This is about a 2 km walk and took me about 45min. but was very hard work! You could also follow the easier marked trail which makes it a 4.4 km round trip.
When you reach the top your looking for a 400mL Sistema box thats just there under that bigish rock.
If you do a little research you may be able to locate the other cache thats in this area as well! Honest, there's another one up there somewhere.
