Edinburgh Park is located not far from the Gyle Shopping Centre,
so if your partner doesn’t fancy doing some caching, then they may
be persuaded to do some shopping instead.
Within the park is a man made loch, which is made so that the
office workers can relax and unwind from their busy workloads. For
those more poetic people out there! There are 12 Herms (or busts),
each representing a Scottish Poet. The bronze herms stand on stone
columns 1.6 metres high and display biographical information and
extracts of the poets’ work.
It is these herms that you are interested in.
Each herm as you would expect has the poets’ name on it, using
the numbers guide and the waypoints listed below, take the letter
which you are asked for and convert it into a number, then insert
it into the co-ordinates for that waypoint.
Follow the Loch around in a circular route to gather the
information for the final co-ordinates. This will take you past all
12 herms, although you only need information from 8 of them.

Although the attributes say wheelchair accessible, a wheelchair
user will require help with the retrieval of the cache. Other than
that the entire area is laid with flagstones with ramp access at
all steps.
Please ensure that you hide the cache well again, it would be
very easy for it to be mistaken as rubbish and binned.
