Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to Camp Frances in Charlotte.

Camp Frances has a fire bowl and a cabin that was donated for use by groups and organizations. The cabin has restrooms, a kitchen and a fireplace. It’s located within Bennett Park, a 117-acre park located at the south end of town. The park includes picnic facilities, hiking and nature trails, six horseshoe pits and two playground sites.

The access road to Camp Frances and Bennett Park are both off Cochran Avenue. Depending on the season and weather the road into the camp gets very muddy/slushy. It will be a longer walk from the Bennett Park entrance but there is paved parking and you can walk over on the nature trails. Most of the trails in the park are flat and easy walking; a few have mild ups and downs with steep edges. Pets on a leash are welcome on the trails.

The cache is started with a few small trade items, a first finder prize, logbook and pencil.

Please do not give away the hide location in your logs.

Have fun!
