Geocache Description:

Mulliken’s Landing is a public access canoe launch to the Jones River, an easy walk through the rushes.

A BIT OF HISTORY: The Jones River, notable for its emergence in shipbuilding, played an important role to the early colonists in its industrial growth. As early as 1650 a sawmill was built along the river to provide lumber for houses, barns and small boats. Following came a grist mill providing grain and a fulling mill providing homespun cloth to the colonists.

The Jones River and its tributaries are all within the boundaries of Kingston.

Cache is a small round bowl container.
