Hinxworth Place Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hi-5ers: With the latest DNF and the fact that it must be gone because it would be too hard to get the location and not find it, together with the fact that this has been active for many years with not many finds in recent years, it is probably time to retire this one.

Geocache Description:

A cache involving a lovely church, ancient house and sculptures.

Hinxworth is a small village in North Hertfordshire, just inside the county boundary. Parking is available by the church, on the main road through the village at N52°02.918 W000°11.846. It seems like the church is generally open, so take some time to look inside. The route to the cache takes you through the churchyard, to, and just past Hinxworth Place, described as one of the finest 15th/16th century stone-built manor houses in the county. Look out for the interesting sculptures as you pass by.
