Lots of soft sand , loose rocks, drop offs and cacti. Please be careful!
This one is a pretty easy walk for most of the way. From where I parked it was just about a 1 mile hike to the cache location (as the crow flies). This one took me about an hour each way from where I left my truck.
There are many routes into this area so you may be able to find a better way in, that may even get you closer to the mountain.
My plan was to place a cache on the top of both peaks, however by the time I started up the second one I decided to wait for another day when I had someone with me. I just didn't want to try it alone.
4X4 is highly recommended. I had to drive down a wash for quite awhile and the sand got pretty soft in spots. Of course if you know of a better way in to this area please post a note to let others know. I couldn't find one.
There are drop offs and loose rock in the area, please be careful!!
The route up is pretty easy to identify once you are near where the mountain goes vertical. Just watch your step and take your time with this one.
The cache is in a 3"PVC container hidden under a rock at the top of the hill.
There is a summit log in a small glass jar under a rock on the very top. The cache is just a few feet from there.
