The road is public access in spite of the signs warning you not to stray off it.

Just past the bridge is an old dam holding back a little pond.

Cross over the dam and go just past a little stream.
Curious Joe's log of May 6, 2019 tells of a slight change in venue, "Dang, I had a great story, but accidentally erased it. The tree has exploded and fallen into the pond. After an excavation of broken tree bits, I miraculously found the cache undamaged, climbed in and got it out. Signed it and rehid it between a small surviving cedar and a piece of the tree that fell towards the approach to GZ, under some bark. Many nettles were golfed to oblivion during the adventure with my trusty trekking pole and there was much rejoicing as I was unscathed. A memorable way to end a nine mile hike. Cache is to the right of the jutting log in pics." ~Thanks Joe"
