Picton Point Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

rockhound62: Thank you for the recent messages regarding this cache, and apologies for the state of said cache. Due to circumstances I have no alternative but to archive this cache, too many muggles seem to know of its location. May well replace with a micro near bye as it is a special place.

Geocache Description:

Best avoided at spring high tides, although the cache is high and dry, the approach path may be slightly under water.

This cache is situated near to Picton Point where the East and West Cleddau meet. Although the cache can be found at all but the highest spring tides it is well worth going at a lower tide so you can enjoy the area and even walk to the point.Parking can be found at N51 46.364 W004 53.173 This is where the old ferry used to cross from Landshipping. Also close by is Picton Castle with its lovely gardens and woodland walks open from 1st April to 30th September, gardens until end of October. Bring binoculars as there is lots of wildlife to be seen at this peaceful estuary location.
