Memories
Every one has memories of a love they
once had or wished they had. This memory might take you all the way
back to the first kiss behind the water fountain in Kindergarten,
or the person you fell in love w/after seeing them at work or
play.
Some of these memories will be good
ones, and bring a smile to your face and perhaps even a flush to
your face or other parts! Some of them will hurt and make you want
to cry. This cache is not for the latter memories. I don’t want you
to think of someone who will bring pain to your
heart.
So as you sit at the first stage
location enjoying the beauty of back country O`ahu, think only of
the good ones. The ones that brought joy to your heart even if it
didn’t last as long as you wished it would have.
The cache is located on a little knoll
with a great view. I’d say it’s best done alone, so you can sit/lay
back enjoying the scene around you and the joy of your memories
w/out someone around to distract you.
I took a break here in mid February
2005 after a week day hike and had nothing but WONDERFUL memories
going thru my head.
I hope your experience will equal or
exceed mine.
This link will take you to a song that
expresses my thoughts on this subject. It is song by Garth Brooks a
Country Western super star and is called The
Dance
Wai`anae CRider
In the beginning the cache held a log book
and 7 small white rose bouquets. The first 7 ladies may take one.
The white rose meaning is =When your lover tells a white lie, it is
because he loves you and is trying to protect you". Stupid and that
reason is, remember we are only MEN! There is also a First To Find
card
If you plan to leave something in the
cache, please limit it to some thing to do w/the heart.
I think it would be best to begin sometime
around noon. That way by the time you reach the stage one location(
1/2 hour or so) the sun will be high enough to light up the view If
you go early in the morning you'll be looking into the sun, not
good. Remember to click on the little skinny picture to get the
full sizw.
The first time I visited this area I had a
big yellow poncho which I spread out and laid on to enjoy the view.
I did the same today, for about 1 hour, and lucky for me I had it
as it began to rain before I got back to my truck.
