Geocache Description:

My Dam Multicache will take you to two destroyed dams. I believe these were initially built for the old Decatur Waterworks Company which supplied the town with drinking water and power in the early 1900’s. I’ve read some interesting stories on why these dams were demolished however I’m not exactly sure when or why this happened.

Parking is available at the tennis courts. Once you’ve parked, locate the trailhead down the paved and dirt road. Follow the trailhead across the railroad tracks and over the bridge to the first dam. You will find a small tube which contains the location for the second part of this three part multicache. The second cache container is in close proximity to the second dam and is about half the size of the first container. The final cache is a ammo can. There is more than one trail to the final cache. Please return all containers in their original position. As always use geostealth with Muggles in the park.

There is no need to bushwhack or take more than 4-5 steps off the trail to find any portions of this cache however the trail can be steep in some areas so please be careful. If you are unable to locate the cache, post a DNF and I will email you an additional hint.

"WiseAshe" is another fun geocache hidden around the historic ruins of the Decatur Waterworks Company.

Congrats to Professor Shorthair for FTF!!!
