A camo’ed stash in a well traveled State park. Do you ever wonder what just around the bend in the road? Have you come to the fork in the road and taken the road less traveled? Then this is the cache for you. The cache is off a well-used trail where people race by sometimes forgetting it’s the journey not the destination that counts.
Due to the proximity of another cache, Cathedral Rock is not your final destination, but rather the best access to the cache.
In the 70’s mountain bikes were unheard of and Topanga was more isolated than it is today, and hiking was a popular form of family recreation. This cache is located in what was once a popular rest stop along the trail.
Cathedral Rock was as easily identified and just as popular as Eagle Rock.
What made it such a great spot for lunch was that you could always find a bit of shade, a cool breeze, and some great views. With the geological up-thrusting bursting through to form cliffs and caves and outcroppings, it taught us to look for the beauty just around the next bend, or the wonders you find when you take the road less traveled.
Now most people race by never noticing what on the other side of the bushes. So to bring you back I’ve placed a cache with intent of making you wonder what’s around that next fork in the trail that you're not taking.
The original contents were chosen by Lil' Cacher, so some hiking related prizes will be added later, and a FTF prize is included for those who still feel the need for all the bustle.
Congrats to tom4props for the long awaited FTF.
