Geocache Description:


This cache is in a small park with lots of history. There are markers in honor of the town founder, Willis Pentecost Menefee, the Confederate Army of Tennessee which was entrenched nearby, The Palmetto Guard which was encamped here and a company of the 2nd Georgia Volunteers in Wheeler's Calvary that was here after they were forced out of Atlanta by Sherman.
