A Needle in a Hey, Tank! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mitee mic: As much as I hate to do this, I believe I have to archive this cache. The parks department moved the tank to another location to create a new "war memorial" and now it is too close to two other caches. The new memorial is really nice and worth taking the time to view.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates listed above will take you to an M4A1 Medium Tank (WWII Sherman) with a 76 mm wet gun from the Yorktown Arsenal, Overhauled 1950. So that you go to the right tank, you are looking for the one that is numbered 68091. It is dedicated to all Huntington County citizens who answered their County's Call.

The cache container is about an inch square and about a quarter inch thick and hidden very well. Hopefully it will live up to its difficulty rating. An interesting historical note for this area is that George Washington slept here. I think he pitched his tent on the leeward side of the Tank... --Sixdogteam
