Finally a travel bug hotel for Newport News! For all those traveling though the area or flying out of the airport, you now have a central drop off for all your bugs. The cache is an ammo can, so large bugs are welcome! You should be able to find this cache in less than 30 minutes. 15 if you're good!
Cache is right down the street from the Newport News Airport, off of Turnberry Blvd. There are 2 parking locations, one at the Post Office and one at the shopping center. There is also a place on Turnberry with a guardrail, but I would not suggest parking there. If you park at the shopping center, you'll see a path that goes beside the pond, just follow the path. This is the long route, but still just a short walk! If you park at the post office you can walk across the street and go right into the woods, or go over the guardrail and follow the path around to your right. Your gps will point you into the woods before you reach the path, but it requires MAJOR bushwacking. Just take the path and save some blood!
