This is a first for Rob and Don we have always done the “typical”
box in the woods cache so we wanted to try something a little
different for us. kinda think outside the box a bit so we took our
two least favorite types of caches(puzzle and micro) and mashed
them together to make one. The above coordinates are to the parking
lot where you should park. To get the cache coordinates you must
first solve the puzzle. I thought I was being cleaver when I
thought of the idea of using a sudoku puzzle to give the
coordinates to our 10th geocache we have hidden, then found out
it’s been done many times before butt we still like the idea and
have never seen one so here it is THE ROB AND DON VERSION OF THE
SUDOKU PUZZLE CACHE Sudoku is a Japanese puzzle that uses numbers
but involves no math instead a player or players use simple logical
deductions to solve it. The sudoku game board is made of 9 columns
down (A-I) and 9 rows across (J-R) They are then divided into 9
boxes that each have 9 squares To solve the puzzle you will fill in
every number (1-9) in each of the small 9 boxes however each number
can only be used once within each the column or row. When you look
at the “GAME BOARD” (click on GAME BOARD left just below the map)
you can see that column B already has a 9 and column C has a 9
however column A does not because you can only use each number once
in the 3x3 box the 9 for column A must go in row L now another 9
cannot go in columns A,B or C or in rows L,M, and P keep using this
type of logic until all spots are filled.( Just like the sample) If
this seams to complex try going to this site for better directions
and a practice puzzle
http://www.sudoku.name/play-sudoku-en.php?a=online-games and click
on rules on left. Once you think you want to take a crack at it
click on GAME BOARD copy or print off the puzzle, sharpen Your
pencil and give it a try when the puzzle is solved use the letters
in each row and column as reference points to replace the letters
with the numbers of the coordinates each group of two letters equal
one number for example on the game board where column C and row M
meet is the number 9 therefore CM=9. And 0 of curse is Zero If you
have seen a sudoku cache before or are familiar with sudoku puzzles
this should be no problem The cache coordinates are N
(FJ)(HM)(BK)(DO).0(HO)(DP) W 0 (FQ)(EQ)(BO)0.(AN)(AL)(DR) The cache
is a micro made from a container used by people at water parks to
keep there money dry when on water rides we will not just give the
coordinates out to anyone because they don’t want to solve the
puzzle however if you want to email us to confirm the coordinates
you got after you have solved the puzzle or you are having a
problem solving the puzzle we will be glad to help and as always
good luck
