Logbook, geocache rules & pencil are also with this cache.
Would suggest parking on 34 Street behind Safeway and not at the Multiplex as climbing is not necessary. Need to be quick on retrieval and take cache to car as muggles drive/walk by fairly often.
The Geocaching Rocks! -- Travel Bug Hotel is a place to pick-up, "discover", or trade a Travel Bug when you know that you can help one on its journey, or to drop off a Travel Bug when you need to get it off your hands. Often TB hotels aren't hotels...they are TB prisons, so if you don't have a TB to trade and would like to pick up one, you can do so. My only request is that you check to see if there is any info on the journey/direction the TB wants to go before picking it up. (I've seen TBs taken 700 miles east in one go when they were meant to go west. A quick read would have prevented this!) If there's no info with/on the TB then feel free to move it on! However, it is a geocaching sin to take a travel bug with the intentions of keeping it!
If you do take a TB please remember to log it online at www.geocaching.com as soon as possible after visiting the cache, for both TBs dropped and retrieved. Log your first visit to this cache as a "Found" and any subsequent visits to drop off and/or pick up other TBs as a "Note."
Info about this location: Vernon’s Multiplex opened Oct. 12,2001 with the Vernon Vipers playing their first B.C. Hockey League game in their amazing new home. It is also used for many community activities such as Creative Chaos in June.
The $15 million facility took 110,000 man hours to construct over a 14-month period on the seven acre site. With seating for 3,100 and an additional 500 standing room spots, the architects of the state-of-the-art facility didn't overlook the smallest details as visitors will discover when making their first tour of the arena.
P.S. A special thanks to my brothers Pappy90 and Mikdeni who got me interested in geocaching! Now I have to find a Geocachers' Anonymous group for my addiction! Geocaching Rocks! Groundhog
