There is not in this wide world a valley so sweet,
As that vale in whose bosom the bright waters meet;
Oh! The last rays of feeling and life must depart
Ere the bloom of that valley shall fade from my heart.
This scenic area at the meeting-place of the Avoca, Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers was immortalised
200 years ago by the poet Thomas Moore in his Irish Melody "The Meeting of the Waters".
To get here, take the R752 from Rathdrum towards Avoca, and follow your GPSr.
Note that this place can get quite full of muggles, so be careful when retrieving the cache.
There is a nearby pub which serves nice food and is also known for its traditional music sessions.
Further down the road is the charming village of Avoca.
