Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 'Emerald Point at Challenger Park' Geocache. It is located in one of the last isolated and untouched areas of the park on a narrow strip of land along Clear Creek.

The cache is an ordinary ammo box at the base of a tree and is out in the open. The cache was placed during the winter, and may be more difficult to reach when the vegetation grows back. To the North, you can see Spider Cove, the location of another GeoCache.

*** DANGER ***
There is an open two foot square manhole at 29º 30.321 North Latitude and 95º 7.839 West Longitude that leads to a storm drain in the area. It is a few feet from the shore, amongst some brush, and marked by two orange painted (2/28/06), three foot tall metal rods. When I spotted the opening, I went around about twenty feet to the left where the brush was less thick. BE CAREFUL! Exercise caution while walking in the area. It is not necessary to go anywhere near the manhole to get to the cache and it's not located near it.

Please take good care of this cache when visiting it and treat it as if it was your own. Keep it neat and well sealed. And securly replace it, so that the next cacher can enjoy it also. Their's nothing more fustrating than searching for a cache that does not exist.
