FoLLoW the Leader: 1936 Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

** NOTE: Final was replaced in a new location on 6/16/06 and conversions were changed.

This is an OFFSET cache.  The listed coordinates will bring you close to one of the many contributions made by a legendary Wisconsin native.  Completion of this cache will not require you to go onto private property.   Park near the listed coordinates.  Find a plaque on the ground and read about the nearby landmark (Note: when there is snow on the ground, this plaque may be very difficult to locate).  Note the date of designation.  To find the location of the cache, perform the following conversions:

AAA = 11 * XX + 1, where XX is the two-digit day of designation

BBB = 10 * YY - 29, where YY is the last two digits of the year of designation

Now it's time to find the goods here: N43º 03.AAA' and W89º 26.BBB'.  The cache is a medium-sized, square Tupperware-type container.

Anyone wishing to place a cache in a city of Madison park must contact Rhonda Veroeven who will gain permission from Madison Parks representative. To contact Rhonda please email at b_and_us at yahoo dot com or through WISearchers at GC dot com
