Waterworks Pond Cache II Traditional Cache
Wireless Pirate: Alas, poor geocache has gone missing. It was a good two year run. An obvious increase in human activity in that particular location seems to have been the likely cause for the disappearance. Check back for Waterworks Pond Cache III coming this winter!

The cache is an ammo box and is located near "Waterworks Pond" from the Sherwood Anderson book "Winesburg, Ohio".
This cache replaces the original Waterworks Pond Cache.
If you have ever read the Sherwood Anderson book "Winesburg, Ohio" then you will be able to figure out a few of the other places named in it. Gospel Hill is nearby as well as the old fairgrounds, although not a fairgrounds anymore, it is still a large piece of property. Read the book and see what else you can discover.The cache is among the bike trails behind the park. The trails may be wet or muddy and there may be running water. It is an easy walk from any of the parking areas but if you don't have a lot of time I suggest the lower parking area (look for the Clyde Flier water tower).
