This camo match stick container traditional cache is located at the brand spankin’ new Clay Mathis Green Belt Park in Mesquite. The park is closed between 11:00PM and 6:00AM.
Several donkeys and goats live in the private property a few feet adjacent to this cache. They grazed up next to us while setting this cache. Thus the name, Oh Hello?
Grass sod has been layed along a practice field however exposed clay soil leads to the greenbelt. After a rain, soil is clingy to boots/shoes.
Clay Mathis Green Belt Park is a medium sized greenbelt park along the North Mesquite Creek. The park sports a small concrete trail, 4 picnic tables under a large picnic pavilion, a basketball and volleyball court. A large playground with a beautiful spot for children to play. The park is also set next to a baseball, track and practice football field. Concrete paths will be connecting this park with an adjacent Mesquite Middle School now under construction.
Nearby restroom facilities and water fountain exist at the Brandy Station Park located @ parking lot coordinates N 32 Deg 44.508 & W 096 Deg 33.299.
Coordinates were determined with a Garmin etrex Vista with WAAS enabled, under fair conditions within the trees, averaged over three minutes to an accuracy of 10.1 feet.
Congratulations to DragonsDown for the FTF!
