This multi is located in the Oak Hill park on Carters Lake. This park was closed to vehicles and camping in the '80s. The roads are still there and hiking is easy other than 300 foot elevation changes from around 1096 at the lake level to around 1380 near the high point. Caches are not far off the roads or trails but are well hidden.
This is a 5 stage multi. A little than three miles in total length. Containers are as small as a 35mm container to a large ammo can. We spotted the locations on a cold morning and placed them late the same afternoon. Coords were 6'-18' different with freezing percipitation coming as we place them. Please let us know if they are radically different. As the leaves return receiver difficulty, of course, will rise. There are many good views of the lake. Sunset photo ops should be good. Along one section we saw many Bluebirds and the trail was covered in deer tracks.
No hints yet! Maybe later if a particular stage seems to need it.
Apparently this park isn't totally closed. There is a handicapped hunt here in November and we have seen evidence of rescue training. So... if the gate is open please look for signs explaining why they may be open and then decide if maybe this cache should be done on a different day. There are plenty of open dates when you should be pretty much alone! Thanks to Dr_Gloplos and strictlycache for the heads up!!
