Geocache Description:

Located just off the abandoned Dakota Rail line on the north shore of Lake Waconia.

Once part of the Great Northern Railroad, the station was a stop on the Hutchinson branch located on the North side of Lake Waconia. In the late 1800's and early 1900's the station was a common stop for vacationers headed to Lake Waconia and Coney Island. A steamer, the 'Niagra' would then ferry the travelers to the resorts and cottages on the island.
