Geocache Description:

Much has been said and written recently about certain insidious hides, Insidious International, Inc. (I3) and its former president, Mr. J. Emmett. Many good cachers have agonized over the insidiousness of it all. Some see this type of cache as a wonderful challenge to rise to and others see them as treacherous, dare I say, even traitorous type of cache.

NOTE: This is NOT an Insidious cache

Due the recent uproar caused by the firing (resignation) of I3’s president, the honorable Mr. J Emmett, and the I3 board's recent court loss, a small entrepreneurial group of cachers have decided that there is opportunity in the current market to make a move. This group of cachers has hastily formed Duplicitous, LLP. We hope to right some of the wrongs that were instilled on the good cachers of the Commonwealth by the other, well-intentioned, company and its former president. Duplicitous, LLP hopes to give these cachers a challenge that is indeed well structured and “findable”.

This cache consists of two stages and then the final. The stages simply require the finding of numbers that are clearly displayed. Using those clearly displayed numbers in a simple yet sophisticated manner, will lead the studious cacher to the next part of the cache. The final is a bright orange waterproof match container that has been cloaked to be inconspicuous.

Details needed for finding the cache:

Stage One

Drive to the general area of N 42° 29.380 & W071° 13.303 and find a place to park. There is a short driveway on the right that may be acceptable for short-term parking otherwise park along the edge of the road, but be careful of traffic. You will find yourself near a benchmark, MY3455. At N 42° 29.375 & W 071° 13.300 you will be standing to the west of three very tall structures. (You can line the three up in your sights.) If you walk to the left, to the listed coordinates for this cache, you be right in front of a fence with three white placards on it. Each of these placards has a 7-digit number on them. Reading these placards from right to left label them A, B & C. Add up the individual digits on each one to come up with numbers A, B & C. (These will be 2-digit numbers)

Stage Two
The north coord of stage two is 42° 29.516 + C times 10.
***(For example if C was 21 then the coords would be 42° 29.516 + 210 0r 42° 29.726.)***
The west coord is 071° 13.029 + A times 10.

Stage Two parking is less than a 1/2 mile draive from Stage One. To the northwest of stage two is easy A street parking. There is a old fire road leading to stage two so don’t get your feet wet. As you approach stage two you will find a manmade item sticking out of the ground. On that item you will find two 10-digit numbers that are as different as night and day. Add the digits of the higher number to get D and the lower to get N.

Final
For the north coord of the final take 42° 29.339 + 10 times D. The west coord is 071° 13.201 + 1 times N. The parking for the final will be obvious to you as you approach it. Again, keep your feet dry.

As stated before, Duplicitous, LLP, has taken this opportunity to develop a cache for our fellow cachers. Some will find it onerous, others laborious, and some won’t find it at all. Difficulty will be determined by how fastidiously one reads the instructions.

Good luck and good caching, Duplicitous, LLP
