Great french composer of the
second half of the 20th century
(1938-1992). He was an organist and one of the most
influential teachers of his time. He collected examples of
birdsongs which formed the inspiration for works such as "Réveil
des oiseaux (1953), Oiseaux
exotiques (1956)
and Catalogue
d'oiseaux.

Il était organiste et un des professeurs les plus influents de son
temps. Pendant des années il a rassemblé les exemples de chants
d'oiseaux qui lui ont donné l'inspiration pour ses oeuvres "Le
merle noir (1951), Réveil des oiseaux (1953), Oiseaux exotiques
(1952), Petites esquisses d'oiseaux (1985), Un vitrail et des
oiseaux (1986).
