Hi. I'm Heartland Cacher, the volunteer reviewer for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com from Nebraska and Wyoming.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

When you have repaired this cache, drop me a line and I can review it again for listing on the geocaching.com site.

If you don't care to continue on with this project, please remove any remaining cache bits from the area.

Thanks for your understanding,
Heartland Cacher
Your friendly Geocaching.com Volunteer Cache Reviewer

Geocache Description:

FIRE ON THE FARM

This is not just a cache. If you choose to hunt down and log this cache on one of the dates listed, you'll be treated to a spectacular air show. This is the official high-power rocket launch site of The Heartland Organization of Rocketry (T.H.O.R). These rockets are not the small Estes rockets. (They do fly those too) These are the real big ones that can reach one mile and beyond. A waiver from the FAA is required to launch these rockets during a certain time frame from 11 AM to 3 PM with ceilings limited to 23,000 MSL. These rockets range from just 4 to 9 feet in length and can sound like an F-16 taking off. Many of the folks that come here to launch have been on the Discovery Channel and on the Science Channel for such things as the Rocket Challenge. A former frequent flier is the T.H.O.R's former president, Bruce Lee who has been on Master Blaster and Junk Yard Wars. The best launches at this site are "Fire On The Farm" and the Nebraska Heat. These are when the really big boys come out. There are no refreshments offered at the site so bring your own water, snacks, shade from the sun, sunscreen and lawn chairs..
